Sweet savory flavor was perfect for fatty salmon.

Home Cooking

After 9 weeks of out of country,  finally home for a week.
Healthier choices when I can while enjoying the flavor.

Final Weekend...

Before heading back home next week. A nice hotel breakfast but I might prefer my coffee and NY bagel at home.

Weekend Market

15 minutes to the center city where a famous market is held every week.
Many locals and tourists.
No purchase here but bought some clothing as they have been heavily discounted.

Staying at an Apartment

To change the pace, I have decided something new, staying at an apartment via Airbnb.
Nice setup and way more space than you need.

Day Trip to Odawara

A nice day to take a train ride to a bit south. Never been in Odawara and found nice views from many spots.

New Kind of Ramen

Our apartment is located in an incredible area wherea short walk gives an access to the Shinjuku station while a lot popular restaurants are located.
Our second visit to twhus ramen place where Miso based soup is served only on Wednesdays.
Some twists in their favor gave a five star rating

Sushi for Lunch

On the way to the former Mitsubishi family house, we stopped by a sushi restaurant. Reasonably priced and decent quality. Cold sake was the perfect match.

New Year in Japanese Style

Had Mochi for breakfast with a cup of coffee.
Meiji shrine was.packed with a lot if people. Felt very peaceful
