New Year's Eve

Walking Azabu Area

Such a nice day to be out. Plenty of sunshine and mo wind makes today perfect.
Never been in this area but I really like, of course, who would not.

Spectacular Night

At near by complex, this special illumination was on display. It was cold but worth to see.
In the room, much anticipated birthday cake was delivered to the room. A very nice day, indeed.

Special Occasion

To celebrate this day, we are staying at a nice hotel. Some special treatment from the hotel. I am so spoiled.

The Best BBQ

We celebrated X'mas with Korea BBQ. My friend knew about this place and it is really difficult to make a reservation.
Started at 5 pm and non stop eating the best BBQ I had ever tested.

Great Find

I am really liking this area. Today we tried this charcoal grill place where we got mackerel and hamburg. They were really good and very reasonably priced
Can't believe we can have this high quality meals in the center of the city at this price range.

Travels

This is the proof of how much travel I do in a year. There are a lot of benefits but a lot of air time I spent.

Shibuya Date

We went to Shibuya for lunch and hung out
Originally we thought about sushi but the place just finished their lunch service, so we started walking around. Luckily we found this place. I wanted to eat oysters and fried shrimp and this set menu had both. They both were really good.

Napolitan Spaghetti

We, meaning Japanese people, have invented Japanese pasta by using tomato ketchup as a sauce. Back, onion and bell pepper do the trick.

Winter in Tokyo

This year we have decided to spend our holiday and new year in Tokyo. I have three weeks to be away from the office, even though I still need to work in the first week, and two pure holiday.
We started our holiday with high end sukiyaki all you can eat. I think I ate enogh for a week without meat.

Snow Out

It is rare to have snow in the Netherlands,  but we got a.few inches at least today.
People are still riding 🚲 though.

Food I didn't Cook

As I am staying at a hotel, I don't cook but eat what they offer.
Breakfast at their main dining,  while evwnings snacks at the lounge.
My lunch is the same as at the office, carrots.
Plus I do exercise to burn all the calories I had.

Home away from Home

This is where I stay this week in Amsterdam.  This is not a hotel where I usually stay at but I spoiled myself to this nicer hotel this week with a suite upgrade.
Still new and everything seems very clean.

Weekend in Den Haag

My plan to go to Cork in Ireland was unfortunately cancelled due to some good news my friend had.
So I am here in Den Haag this weekend. It is santaaclaus here in the Netherlands.  It is very controversial as they pant their face to black.

Home Cooking

Mainly vegetables with one fish dish, not pictured.
I feel the week when I am at home I need to consume as much vegetables and fish as possible to offset not perfect diet on road.

Sunday in Atlanta

Local diner for our breakfast.  Could not see any outsiders except us, so a bit weird.
Food was good and unique to South. On the way back home, stopped by a lake. It could be nice to walk around if.it was warmer.

Green Tomato Fries

You have to.eat what locals do.
Loved this fried green tomato sandwich.
A half lemonade and another half iced tea. So southern. People down here are so nice.

Little White House

Visiting my friend in Atlanta.  Today we came to a bit south to Warm Spring.
This is a little house where FDR died.

Full Breakfast

I usually eat breakfast which free for me, but this hotel also offers an option to eat at their main dining.
A lot if selection, especially the breads. Vegetable omelet and sausages... I won't need lunch today.

Long Weekend

Weekend started a day early.
Drove to dusseldorf last night at 150 km speed. This lounge has a gorgeous view as it is located on the top floor.

German Fish

A quick lunch at a restaurant next to the hotel. It is not beer in the glass even though it does look like

Baumkuchen

Thus is the place I wanted come. Baumkuchen is popular also in Japan. It felt very simple without any frills.
