This is the shot during my jog on Monday. It is only a few minutes away from the hotel. I heard that Tokyo station iwas designed based on this. I can see the similarity but I need to validate this statement.
Japanese guy living in Brooklyn Heights, New York is posting updates in BH and his life.

Saturday Afternoon in NY/CT
This is how we spend the afternoon. Drive to Connecticut to have ice cream, but on the way we found a very nice furniture store. Front side was not big but inside was HUGE. Very nice collection of everything. After all, it was in CT and the all the customer seemed to have a DEEP pocket. These nice pillows were between $200 and 400. Maybe next time.
This soft serve is sold at a famous grocery store which started as a dairy farm. It is totally worth the drive.
Our home cooking continued, and we cooked breaded chicken and shrimp. Our refrigerator is filled with food and someone is happy about it.
Summer Dishes
Today's lunch was filled with summer dishes - cold Korean noodle, pickles, vegetable stew, and Kabocha stew. I don't miss any meat as they are all hearty.
KLM Souvenir
They handed out this cute house as a souvenir. I did not know what it is, so I looked up the web. It seems that this is the oldest souvenir any airline gave to their guest. They have at least 88 unique versions and some of them cost over $1,000 among the collectors. Now I have more reasons to wish to be upgraded.

Home Sweet Home
There is nothing better than home or home cooking. I just wanted to cook and eat something familiar. As I am working at AMS clock, my working hour is over...
Something Good Happened
After taking so many flights, I finally achieved PLATINUM status at an airline. Because of that maybe I was upgraded to the business class this time.
It is so nice to have food in China, not in plastic.
BUT, I am not sure it is worth thousands of $ though.
Look, this seat have massage function. I bed Japanese airlines have even more advanced function.

At the Airport
After 2 weeks of work, I am heading to NYC for the weekend. It has been nice weather wise here, but I am so excited about going home. Let me think what to cook/eat...

Museum Visit
I usually don't go to mid century type museum but today was an exception. I heard that they opened a few months ago after intensive renovation. Inside was beautifully done. This was my first choice for the day. I bought a post card home as well.

Day in Amsterdam
Unusually warm day today in Amsterdam. It was like upper 80s. I rented a bicycle for a day to cover wider areas and why not try if you are in Amsterdam, right? It was a great decision and I had so much fun. Even it was hot, the wind cooled me down and the sweats did not stick around that long. The only complain I have is it did not have break, so you need controlling with the pedals. I hit a few people actually as I could not stop...
Breakfast First
Before heading outside for sightseeing, much needed breakfast at the hotel. I don't eat this much during the week but only on weekends. Too much meat as the first meal. Now I need to burn it off.

Japanese in Amsterdam
I decided to stay in the city this weekend as the weather seems to be nice. As a typical weekend start, I went to a Japanese restaurant. It was good but barely met my expectation. A typical place here does not air confining so it was pretty warm inside.

View in Amsterdam
New hotel from this week. Located in the heart of Amsterdam. Pretty view from the rooms, yes I have two rooms this time.

Summer Dishes
Summer is a great season to eat a lot of vegetables, and not to feel guilty eating unhealthy items, e.g. ice cream, BBQ etc.
Very simple.but we.enjoyed it.
Now ready for something BAD.
Dinner with Friend
I try to meet up with my friends while I am in NYC for a long period, not just for a weekend, and this time we met up with B. in Astoria Queens. I have never been in this neighborhood and I was very excited about it.
This area is famous for Greek and that's what we ate.
This octopus salad has their restaurant name and it was good.
It is very nice to have a quality time with a good friend and to expire new neighborhoods as each has very distinctive uniqueness.

Friday Lunch
While I am still in NYC, I try to cook something healthy. Today's lunch was whole grain pasta with tomato sauce. We ate more than one serving for sure.

Breakfast at Four Seasons
I had an early meeting this morning at Four Seasons hotel in NYC. As I stay at a hotel as many as over 200 nights a year, I know about good hotels, but Four Seasons is a top notch. Just WOW.

Home Cooking is Back
It has been hot, but not as hot as Japan. Our lunch was something summer unique - "somen" with Kimchi and summer vegetable stew.

Food in Japan Three
Chicken and Nagoya miso... a golden combination. Do you know why eggs taste so good in Japan? And they are really orange, not yellow.
Food in Japan Two
I have a thing for "warabi-mochi", maybe the texture... This one was green tea taste and with whipped cream.
Food in Japan One
Always I am amazed by the quality of the food in Japan. This trip was no exception.
This was a unique dish only in Nagoya. The sauce, a bit sour and spicy, was not mixed or over the noodles but on the pate. New type of paste and yummy.
