Steak Dinner

I don't remember when was the last time we had steak fir dinner. Thanks to Amazon.com, its stock price and it's acquisition of Whole Foods, we needed to celebrate on their account.
It came out really good.

Ice Cream

Before the summer is over, which I can already feel in Amsterdam, I had a chance to come back to this store.
Not just scoops but also sit in to have five scoop ice cream sundae.

Stay-cation SIX

Went to MoMA as we don't do museums during our vacations usually.
On the way back, we grabbed some food at now famous food truck. Passing my first office building in Manhattan brought me some memories years ago.

If you are staying at this level of hotel, you have to experience everything they offer. Breakfast at their dining room. Waffles and additional sausages.
You don't want to know how much they cost though

On the way back, we took a different rout via the Broadway.
Bought our desert at the Juniors. Our hotel is just across from the Carnegie hall. Unfortunately the hotel is located at the bottom of this building but this is one of the newest super luxury condo buildings in the city.

We had dinner at our favorite restaurant,  Sushi Den. On our way there we encountered with heavy security surrounding the Trump tower. Waste of our money.
Our favorite chef was no longer there but we had a nice meal at the counter.

This is our room. Upgrade to one of their better suites. It is really nice but nowhere close to the one in Japan though.

To enjoy the last week of my summer break, we treated ourselves by staying at a five star hotel in the city. Relaxing at the pool before meeting with our friend for drink.

Painting the Walls

One of the items I wanted to do during this break was to paint some walls in our apartment.  Wanted to have blue gray walls as accent wall and now we have it.
With minor rearrangement of the furniture, now it looks fresher.

Last Meal in Napa

One of the restaurants I really wanted to come. Very traditional French dishes so no surprise good or bad there.
Recommend to everyone who is coming to this area.

Wine Tasting

After a few hours of drive to the mountains,  we ended up with this mice winery by accident.
Surprisingly nice and relaxed atmosphere.  Just lovely.

Napa Winery

On the way back from Sonoma, we stopped by this newer winery close to the hotel. The view is stunning even though the winery itself was not as welcoming.

Lunch at a wacky diner. Generous serving and very reasonably priced. Before and after pictures proof that we did not waste any.

Next to Napa is Sonoma which is smaller scale than Napa. We found the best winery yet, after checking in over 10 so far over last a few trips.

Wineries in Napa

We started our visit at 9:30, and my first glass was filled with wine by 10:30.
We visited 4 today but only one tasting, with 5 types of wines, as I had another glass during the lunch.
Life is not too bad.

Fancy Lunch

After hitting a wine tasting this MORNING,  we had a fantastic lunch the a gorgeous view.

City Skyline

Rare blue sky gave us a nice view.of the.city from the pier. When we came back to the hotel, the sky was already covered by the clouds. Typical SF weather.

Light Lunch

Wrapping up the stay in SF before heading to Napa. We could no pass this must go dumplings place in the China Town.
Yummy and cheap.

Walk and Meal

We walked all the way to the end of the golden gate Park, which is over 6 miles away. On our way back on the other hand, we took Uber as there was no way we could walk back.
Late lunch was at my must go place where I had my must have fish soup. Sourdough bred was so good and could not leave any on the place.
