I try to bring home made meals to the table while I am in NYC. I finish my work by noon so I can cook dinner, while my lunch is alway leftovers, which I love.
Today's menu includes mainly chicken meatloaf, and Kabocha cream stew. Both are freeze-able

French and Play
Spent the day in the city. After going to the gym, we were ready for some nice lunch. A small bistro serving not a typical American food. Crepe stuffed with bacon, ok it is not French, and onion.
Luckily we were able to buy tickets for a show, nominated for the Tony tomorrow. Fun and something different from our typical Saturday.

Friday Drink
Cosmopolitan with nuts my friend gave. Sweet and refreshing drink with nuts' a hint of spiciness. Perfect to celebrate the end of working week.

Katsuo (Bonito) Tataki
I did not know we can buy this in NY but there was in the grocery.
This is how my brother in law taught me to eat, with tomato and cucumber along with garlic and ginger ponzu sauce.
Feel early summer for sure.

Apple Pie
We went to one of these whole sale stores yesterday despite we are.only TWO. We found this gigantic pie with the price tag of less than 7 dollars. Call me cheap but we could not resist.
So now this will be our breakfast.

Kiwi Jam
My friend gave me her homemade kiwi preservatives. I tried it on my favorite Essa bagel this morning. It was surprisingly yummy along with peanut butter.
Who thought it is also good for preservatives besides eating with spoon.
