Pizza in Connecticut

New York should be the city for the best pizza, but this Pepe's pizza is so unique and it is one of the best, if it is not the best.
You have to have white, no sauce, clam pizza. We ordered a large pie and needed to take home some.

Mystic Pizza and River

There are at least two movies about Mystic. I have never seen either of them but they are pretty famous.

Found this cool place originally some sort of engine room. Pork burger. First time ever to see something like this.

Trip to Mystic CT

As we don't have any vacation plan this winter, we planed this short trip. Stopped by this fish place on the way. Fried shrimps and onion rings.

Shabu Shabu

Even though it is Christmas,  as we are not Christian,  no reason to celebrate.  Yet, more important thing to celebrate. Alway we ended up with choosing Shabu Shabu.
We both are fulll now.

Fish Dinner

Finally I got new phone to take nice pictures.
Before the big day, we had a light meal today. Miso ginger glaze came out better than I thought.

Columbus Circle

Dinner with my boss tonight in the city, more like in Harlem.
Came to the Columbus circle to work out a bit and now am killing some time.

Christmas in the City

Finally winter like weather has arrived. The city has been decorated for the Christmas. Music, smell and these decorations make everyone in a good mood.

Chicken Dinner

The sauce for the ribs the other night was so good, so we saved the sauce.
This time I made chicken dish with that sauce.
Wow, really good. I think I can reproduce this dish next time.
Roasted Kabocha is the best way to eat it.

Sukiyaki-ish Dinner

Beef and pork half and half but not mixed for a reason.
German or I should say Italian potato salad came out really good. I need to remember what I put in it.

Magnolia Bakery

I bought their banana cake with chocolate frosting. Yes, their cupcakes are famous but they are overpriced and overrated, while their cakes are good.

Meatloaf Dinner

All cooked in the oven. East cooking and easy cleaning. Perfect for Sunday dinner.
Work resumes from tomorrow after extended thanksgiving break.

Another Classic Concert

The same pianist as the last time. His final rehearsal for this week's concerts. Many audience even though it is weekday morning.

Chicken Cutlets

Chicken cutlets with green beans. I like this Dutch mustard. Different from America or French style.

Staub Sale

Wearhouse sale we visited. I think their Dutch oven is better than the other brand, you know what brand...
Even we have a big one I could not resist. Smaller one for just above $100, not too bad. Somehow this makes me happier than other shopping trips.

Chicken Cacciatore

It might not been authentic but it was good. Roasted vegetables were also really good.
Nice healthy dinner for two.

Good Enough

Saturday lunch at a newly opened Japanese restaurant. Not great but good enough.
Chicken Namban became mainstream outside of Japan too.

8 Years Already

Renewing my driver's license. Not sure Friday afternoon was a good time to do this, but I got to do before my b-day.
A quick eye sight test and keeping the same picture from current itself did not take that much but the wait was over one hour.
New one will be in the mail in several days.
One of the things needed to be done this week, checked.

Classic Concert

Took full advantage of working from home yesterday. I went to a rehearsal session of the New York Philharmonic at the Lincoln Center. They played full music over 2.5 hours. It was well worth the money and the time.

My Lady for the Week

My favorite car of all time. Italian makes a beautiful car for sure. Will I buy this? Not sure to commit that long as car is different from shoes... My life depends on it.

Back to Work

After a week in Japan, I came back to Amsterdam to resume working.
Food in the flight should have been prepared in Japan and a bit nicer than usual I assume.

Last Meals...

Tonkatsu was on the list to eat in Japan. Usual late lunch as we had a late breakfast with my friend at hotels main restaurant.
There is another lounge not all can access to. Quieter and maybe ore food. I wish I were a drinker.

Late Lunch and...

As my day stared late, my lunch was also late. After a quick ramen lunch, coffee time at the lounge...
I still need to work late today, so this is not a vacation.

Meat Dinner

With good friend of mine for over 20 years. A tiny restaurant in Ginza area serving meats. Technically no limit till we said ENOUGH.

My Stay in Tokyo

A nice room assigned to me even though it is on only 21st floor.
Meeting up with a friend to catch up. So many little things with different tastes and textures. Bonito over rice was very nice.

Tokyo Stay Started

After a quick bullet train ride, I am in Tokyo. My go to hotel and familiar lounge serving goodies. I need to control myself not to eat too much just because they are good and FREE...

Breakfast in Nagoya Style

Whipped cream with bean paste made it Nagoya style. I sometimes make it even in NY with my home made bean paste.

Japan Trip So Far

One of the main purposes of coming through Osaka. I tasted theM in the bullet train.
Breakfast at the hotel after much needed 12 hours of sleep.

Heading to Japan

Done with the work in Amsterdam and now waiting for the flight to Osaka. A few days of break before the work in Tokyo.
What should I eat in Japan this time...

On business for a few days. A few blocks from my hotel gave me many choices for my late dinner.
