Last meal was another ramen but at a different restaurant. Very crowded with locals and Japanese.
No first class this time, so no snack was served either. Blue seatings are the same as jappanese, while French trains are decorated with red if you remember.
Cloudy but now rain, so I would say it was a nice day to walk around.
Took a tram to the city center and walked back. On the way a ramen at my favorit place (there are several ramen places in the city).
Another must visit was this ice cream store. Looks small but very large portion. The difference is that it is not that rich but light and creamy. This tower is one of the attractions close to the hotel.
Another weekend trip, but this time to Germany. 2 hours of train ride after work. Apple turnover German style. On a comfy bed.
Before heading to the airport to chatch the flight, last home cooking meal. Comfort food for both of us.
After skipping lunch, yet some snacking, drinking and a nap, this was our dinner. Flounder salad and curry. It could have been two meals but I needed to consume both because I again am leaving on Sunday.
Something romantic, so steak dinner was appropriate.
Sweet potatoes roasted, and a lot of green salad with home made dressing. Did not feel too guilty by eating red meat.
Snowy Thursday here in NY. I came back a day early to avoid any flight cancellation.
Home cooking for dinner, a lot of vegetables and healthy chicken breast.
I had a nice relaxing time in Brussels. Nothing new but a better bed, hotel and breakfast.
A chocolate cake at a famous chocolate shop. Not sure it was for one person, but in my case it was.
Another 2 hours ride back to Amsterdam. This time on the first class which was actually cheaper than 2nd class for some reason.
Plus there is a food service. What a great deal.
After leaving the office at 5:30, I caught a train to Paris... Yet my destination is Brussels. 2 hours ride will give me a relaxing weekend trip to Brussels. No Eki-Ben, but some pasta salad.
You have to eat something bad this day, as it is designed to do so. Chicke wings but baked.
Along with healthier choices, I did not feel too bad about eating them. After two glasses of wine, I needed a nap for a couple of hours. A lazy Sunday.
Drove to Astoria, part of Queens to have lunch with our friend.
New Orleans restaurant searving local dishes like popboy sandwith and jambalaya. Fun time to catch up the things happened between the last time and now.
