Last day of our vacation in CA. Cold yet very nice day to be outside. Morning walk in front of the hotel. Many locals were catching the waves. You can see the snow on top of the mountains.

Fancy Room
This is the room we got this time. A So Cal suite they call. Nice balcony facing pool and the beach.
Living room has its own full bathroom for guests? Enough space for two. Maybe we should have a party here. Who is coming?
Beach Front
It got better as we drove to north. Huntington Beach area for the rest of our vacation. All heated pools so we might swim during the stay.
In-n-out Burger
One of the to do items of this trip, in-n-out burger. This joint is found mainly only in CA. All fresh and far better quality than any other joints.
Animal style is their secret menu meaning grilled onion instead of raw onion.
And of course gorgeous ocean views everywhere.

Lunch in La Jolla
30 minutes drive from SD downtown, we came to La Jolla for lunch. This is one of our favorite towns in CA. Super rich neighborhood as this stunning view. Seafood lunch at this fancy restaurant with white wine. With this view anything can taste good.
Another GOOD Breakfast
Blueberry pancakes TALL, meaning 5 stacks.
Under strong sunshine with gas lumps kept us warm enough even it was outside seating. Now I feel like we are on vacation.

Fancy Dinner and...
Italian Dinner started with sparkling wine. Nice appetizer and man dishes.
We did not have dessert at the restaurant for this sundae, which reminds me San Francisco.
Day in San Diego
It has been more than ten years last time I was here. I lived here for several months on project before.
Favorite spots in the park. Super blue sky does not remind us it is December. I could be in t-shirt.
Nice lunch after a long walk.
Breakfast on the Rooftop
Staying in the downtown of San Diego. It has a rooftop pool with a great view - mountains and the ocean.
A bit chilly but with gas heat, a nice way to start our day.
Heading West
Upgraded to the first class thank to my extensive flights this year. We were on the way to the west coast.
I could not wait for a warmer weather.

Date in the City THREE
You can't talk about the holiday without the tree. Oh boy so many people. We could not go from the front to get pictures.
We did not like this year's tree that much as it is fat and short.
Our favorite Vietnamese restaurant has been closed so our second choice was this Chinese. Spicy but tasty.
Date in the City TWO
Grand central station was also decorated for the holiday. I did not know Tiffany decorates like this, while Sack's fifth avenue department was as glamour as it could be.
Date in the City ONE
All the windows of the departmentstores are Christmas themed. Among them Barney's NY and Bergdorf Goodman are the top notch.
Many tourists and lonals like us were amazed by them. Look at them, aren't they gorgeous...

Home Dinner
Waited to cook home meal for a while. Very healthy dishes to offset heavy meals I had last a few days.
