Thousands of people gathering for the ceremony held in the church. Television shows Masako-sama smiling. They were one of the top guests just next to the Monaco's king.
This turned to the party of the century...

Last Queens Day

No traffic in the city center. The party has been started and it remains till the night. It is still quiet till some concerts star around 11 am.

Italian Dinner

Wanted to go to this Italian restaurant and closed. But a local guy passing by suggested another one. A little restaurant with a lot of characters.
Of course some use cream for desert.

Sunny Sundy

Perfect weather to walk around the city. Went to the park to have a light lunch, where some trees were at the peak.
After having a snack, we headed to another section of city to have Dutch food.
Funky diner-ish place where we ordered a selection of typical dishes. Simple yet tasty.

Tulip Garden in the Netherlands

I wanted to do this for a long time, and finally I had a chance to this. Train and bus rides led us to this wonderful garden and surrounding fields.

 It took our breaths away... I have never seen this many flowers with this bright color. It seemed a natural carpet from Yellow, White, Red, Purple... Each flower was beautiful enough, but if you see this many, it was totally different experience.
I personally liked this kind - of course my favorite color (Orange).

Indonesian Dinner

After a long day of sightseeing, which I will post later, we had a nice Indonesian dinner. As Dutch occupied there, it is pretty popular here. Many small dishes to taste all.

Tulips in Amsterdam

If you ask Japanese about the Netherlands, they would say it is famous for tulips. Here are some good shots from lady weekend.

Steak Dinner

For a long time since last time I had red meat (beef). Steak with my special sauce. In stead of cream spinach, I boiled it to save some not needed calories. Full and can't move...

Sunday in Amsterdam

Finally it got warm enough to enjoy the time outside. Famous tulips are fully bloomed. I was at the museum district to attend a classic concert. He was the pianist for the day. Young but very talented.

Saturday in Amsterdam

Finally blue sky... Some sort of carnival in the heart of the city.
Lunch at an Italian restaurant (they were both for me...) After a long walk, bought a concert ticket for next week at a bargain price.

Back in Amsterdam

After 2 weeks of stay in New York, I am back in Amsterdam. The day got really long and now it is still bright after 8 pm. It's still cold though.

Pasta Dinner

It couldn't be better than this. As good as the one we ate in the Bronx. A few Japanese touches but someone doesn't need to know...
