Had a chance to have herring in Amsterdam. I would rather eat this on top of the bed of vegetables or eat as Sashimi. I like it but not with bread next time.

Evening Walk
Summer time started this morning, so we lost one hour... I hope I can still wake up at 6:20 tomorrow as usual. Just walked the city close to the hotel to get the bearings. Very nice weather and people are enjoying it outside.
Home Away From Home
This week I am staying at a different hotel. They have upgraded me to this junior suit where the room is twice the size and all Extra amenities. Have been spoiled on the hotels, but honestly there is nowhere better than home. But I do enjoy this stay though.
weekend Trip Three
This is a famous restaurant row in the city. They serve mussels and seafood even it is not on the coast. Why Brussels is famous for its seafood?
Weekend Tip Two
I went to this established restaurant to seek some traditional Belgium dishes, but ended up with a plate of seafood. Good but nothing special.
Weekend Trip One
Another trip to Brussels. It is close enough and I can't stay at the same hotel for more than a week. My hotel is located outskirts of the city yet It is walkable to the center of the city.

Bridge Opened
It has been very nice this week and I went for a jog after coming back from work. Haarlem is also surrounded by canals and there are ships which sometimes make a bridge open.

Home Cooking
A beautiful Saturday we had. I can see the spring is JUST around the corner. We did not run into the flowers on the trees but you can smell it is there.
BBQ I used Korean sauce with some twist. Broccoli rabe which has bitter taste so we made "Karashi Ae" instead of typical cooking method Italian does. For extra fiber, "Gobo" salad. There is nothing better than home cooking meal, and not eating by yourself.

Pork Butt
I could not resist to buy some pork meat at the Korean market. I ended up cooking with Daikon, or Japanese radish. It came out EARLY good. I will enjoy this only while someone is not home.

Bagel at the Park
It started cool but it turned out to be a very nice day today. We decided to go to the park to enjoy this gorgeous weather. On the way to the park we stooped by one of our favorite bagel stores on Bergen street. Nice to feel the spring with strong sunshine. I felt I am observing the sun, which I missed last four weeks.
First Meal in NYC
Just came back from Amsterdam and we went to a near by Japanese restaurant in the heights. I can see I am in the heights as there are so many mixed crowd - age, background, languages, etc. Tomorrow some home cooking and of course bagels.

Spring is Here
Sunday morning walk in the park in front of the hotel. Even it is still chilly, in 40s, you can feel and see that the spring is just around the corner.
Late Night Snack
There is one decent European pastry in Haarlem. I bought these two today, and had one of them for a late night snack. It is a puff filled with fresh cream like you can get in Japan. In US Italians make puffs but they fill them with heavy pastry cream, which I am not a big fan.

Weekend Market 2
Who said cheese? They have good cheese here I'm the Netherlands. It looks like swiss cheese, but they would call it Dutch cheese?
Weekend Market 1
I am staying in Haarlem this weekend. As usual there is a weekend market at the heart of the city. After all it is March and you can see more flowers at the stores.
