Friday Dinner

My summer holiday just started.  Technically at noon today as I started my day at 3 am.
I have been given 2 to 3 weeks of off last several years thanks to a European client.
What shall we do...

Cold Noodle, Purple Carrots

Yes, purple and white carrots along with typical orange ones. Slightly different texture which reminded sweet potato.
I froze the sauce so the noodle was cold.

Dinner with Coworkers

This is how after work dinner goes in the Netherlands in summer.
It is bright throughout and of course sit outside to enjoy warm but not hot weather.

Finally Home Cooking

After 3 weeks in Europe, I missed home cooking. Same as usual but thus is what I wanted to eat.

Beach Day

A summer sunday, so why not beach..
Yes, Netherlands has beach as well. Only 30 minutes drive from the city. Famous seafood for late lunch.

Lunch in Den Haage

Weekend back in the Netherlands.  A short ride south to the capital of the country. It has class compared with other cities.

Last Meal...

Now I remember this airport, or I should say this lounge. They serve ice-cream by walking around with them on the tray. Very nice touch.

After Work Activities

After the work, yes I do work, I went to the Jewish memorial site. It is interesting park now but the history behind it is not as pretty.
Last German dish and beer to celebrate my one week stay in Berlin.
Back to Amsterdam tomorrow.

Business and pleasure could live together. This is the proof.
Made out of stainless this pool. Feel like I am in a big kitchen sink.

Business Lunch

So called business Lunch was in order. Beer is cheaper than water, so not my choice but my cheapness.
Great German dish filled me up till the end of the working day.

German Dinner

My work week has started, but working from a nice hotel room was not too bad - some gym break and afternoon tea time.
Walk to this quirky restaurant where we enjoyed another German food with beer again.

Italian Dinner

After sweating out some extra pounds I have gained so far, one drink at the lounge before heading to a late dinner.
It is good and bad at the same time to have access to the lounge where all FREE. Small desert before the dinner was what we ended up with. Found this neighborhood type place and we had dinner outside.

Sunday in Berlin

Very nice and warm day in Berlin. Famous east side gallery where famous artists painted on the wall after the fall.
Iconic two leaders kissing, not really happened,  and Japan themed one.
German lunch at a famous flea market where Karaoke concert every Sunday afternoon.

Night Out

Similar to Amsterdam it is bright till late night in Berlin.  The line on the ground is where the wall was. Now you can stand my right foot on the west and my right on the east Germany.  Amazing.

Cocktail Time

Before heading to dinner some small dishes with German wine. Life is GOOD.

Saturday in Berlin

Not too bad weather to walk around the city. Stunning architecture all over the city. You have also to eat something German.  It is called doner.

Berlin Workation One

I decided to come to Berlin instead of going home to make it workation for us. Arrived in the evening and went out for German food and what else,  BEER.
Near by famous German restaurant outlet in Sony center.

Dinner Before Heading to...

I will be away for 3 weeks this as we will take workation in Berlin in between working weeks in Amsterdam.
Lighter side by avoiding carbohydrates.
